What information does this tool show?
It displays the total page count, file size, PDF version, producer/creator metadata, creation and modification dates (if present), and page dimensions for the first page. No content extraction is performed.
Is this safe for confidential PDFs?
Yes. The file is read entirely in your browser using the PDF.js library. No data is uploaded to any server. The tool only reads document metadata — not page content.
Why might the page count differ from what my PDF viewer shows?
Some PDF viewers hide certain page types (e.g. blank divider pages, form pages). This tool counts all logical pages as defined in the PDF structure. Password-protected PDFs may not report page counts without decryption.
