Frequently Asked Questions

Is my PDF data sent to a server?
No. All PDF processing happens entirely in your browser using client-side JavaScript (PDF-lib). Your files never leave your device. This ensures complete privacy — no upload, no server storage, no file size limits imposed by server infrastructure.
Does PDF merging lose any content or quality?
No. PDF merging combines pages from multiple files without re-encoding or re-rendering content. Text, images, fonts, and vector graphics are preserved at their original quality. The output is a byte-accurate concatenation of the source pages.
What is the maximum number of PDFs I can merge?
There is no hard limit — you are constrained only by your browser's memory (RAM). Very large PDFs (hundreds of MB) may slow down or crash the browser tab. For files over 50 MB total, a desktop application may be more reliable.
